About This Tool
I built the Page Size Checker because I was tired of guessing how heavy a webpage really is. You know the drill—click a link, wait, and wonder, “Why is this taking so long?” Turns out, most of the time, it’s not the server. It’s the page itself. Images, scripts, fonts, ads—they all add up. Fast.
This tool grabs a URL and tells you exactly how much data the browser has to download to load that page. No fluff. No marketing jargon. Just numbers you can actually use.
It’s not fancy. It doesn’t track you. It doesn’t ask for your email. You paste a link, hit go, and get a breakdown. That’s it.
Key Features
- Shows total page size in KB or MB—because “big” isn’t a measurement.
- Breaks down size by file type: HTML, CSS, JS, images, fonts, and more.
- Works on any public URL. No login, no setup.
- Runs fast. Most checks take under 10 seconds.
- Mobile-friendly. Use it on your phone while testing a site on the go.
- No ads. No pop-ups. Just the info you asked for.
FAQ
Does this work on password-protected pages?
Nope. It only checks public pages that anyone can visit without logging in. If the page asks for a password or blocks bots, the tool won’t get past the gate.
Why does the size change when I check the same page twice?
Pages aren’t static. Ads rotate, scripts update, and content might load differently each time. A 5% variation is normal. If it jumps by 50%, something big probably changed—like a new video or a bloated script.
